[Saba Sports News] Finnish F1 driver Valtteri Bottas revealed in an interview that he has received an invitation to participate in IndyCar for the 2025 season, along with a very good offer. Bottas stated that he wants to race in the Indy 500, as he is a fan of V8 super cars, and the Indy 500 has always been part of his career plans. It is noted that the Indy 500 takes place from practice to the main race within the month of May. Currently, Bottas is negotiating a contract to return to the Mercedes F1 team as a reserve driver, and if he participates in the Indy 500, he will miss the F1 Miami Grand Prix, F1 Imola Grand Prix, and F1 Monaco Grand Prix held in May next year. Therefore, Bottas hopes to first determine his specific role at Mercedes F1 to see if he needs to be present for all 24 races of the season before deciding whether to accept the IndyCar invitation. In the interview, Bottas was also asked about the possibility of competing for a seat with the Cadillac F1 team. He stated that Cadillac is a great brand and he is very interested in Cadillac’s F1 project, considering competing for a seat in that team as a final goal, but if he is not selected, he has other series to choose from.
