[Saba Sports News] The 14th round of Serie A continues with Udinese playing Genoa at home. The Udinese defender was sent off for a flagrantly foul just four minutes into the game, which dealt a severe blow to the team. Only EIGHT minutes later, in the 12th minute, the Udinese defense collapsed again, and Genoa broke through the Udinese gate to take the lead.

Udinese’s fortunes seem to have been particularly bad of late, in a game where, despite being superior to Genoa overall, they were unable to withstand the pressure of early red cards and the loss of their numerical advantage. Udinese are currently ninth in Serie A, based on recent performances, while Genoa are deep in the relegation zone, in 18th place, making them one of the relegation favourites this season.
Despite being the stronger side overall, Udinese have now failed to win in five consecutive encounters with Genoa, with four draws and one loss since February 2021. The two sides last met in the 26th round of last season, when Genoa won 2-0 at home to Udinese.
