[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, Barcelona midfielder Frenkie de Jong’s agent has started to inquire about the league situation with various Saudi clubs. Reports indicate that the agent has reached out to Saudi clubs regarding the Saudi Pro League. De Jong’s current contract with Barcelona expires in June 2026, and it appears he may be considering his future after leaving Barcelona. While Barcelona insists they are interested in renewing De Jong’s contract, the renewal amount is significantly lower than his current earnings. The Dutch international has a net income of about 9 million euros this season, which also includes a loyalty bonus of 4.2 million euros. Additionally, if De Jong plays 60% of the matches this season, his income will increase by 2 million euros. It is reported that if De Jong does not renew next summer, Barcelona does not want him to remain with the team next season. His agent has begun looking towards the future, noting that besides the major European leagues, the Saudi Arabian league is also an option.
