[Saba Sports News] The final list of repair costs for the 2024 season has been released, highlighting the drivers with the highest and lowest expenditures. Former Red Bull driver Sergio Perez tops the repair cost list with 4.861 million, while Alpine F1 driver Pierre Gasly incurred no repair costs. Perez′s high repair expenses were due to two crash incidents, costing around 2 million for the Monaco incident and $1 million for crashing during Q1 in Hungary. Currently, teams are working on developing optimized components and improving car reliability to reduce future costs. Through strict testing and simulation, they aim to minimize the likelihood of car failures during races, thereby reducing the frequency and cost of repairs. The use of more durable and reliable materials and more rational structural designs will help reduce wear and damage to components during races, thus lowering expenses associated with frequent replacements.
