[Saba Sports News] In the Italian Super Cup semifinal, Inter Milan defeated Atalanta 2-0. Notably, there were many empty seats in the stands during the match. This edition of the Italian Super Cup is being held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and the event’s official announcement stated that a total of 16,896 tickets were sold for this semifinal. However, at kickoff, many empty seats were visible in the stadium. According to Italian media reports, this was due to delays in local fans entering the venue; only about 4,000 fans entered the stadium on time, while as many as 12,000 fans were still waiting outside. Additionally, the total prize money for this edition of the Italian Super Cup is €23 million, with €16.2 million allocated to the four participating teams: the two losing semifinalists will each receive €1.6 million, the runner-up €5 million, and the champion €8 million. Another €2.2 million will be evenly distributed among the remaining 16 Serie A teams, with each team receiving approximately €140,000. The remaining prize money will go towards taxes for the Serie A Professional League, match agency fees, and other management expenses.
