[Saba Sports News] Draymond Green is poised for a comeback. According to Shams Charania from The Athletic, the renowned player from Golden State Warriors is set to rejoin the team in their upcoming game against the Grizzlies in Memphis on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. This marks Green’s return after a 16-game absence.
Green, a previous Defensive Player of the Year, faced an indefinite suspension from the NBA for hitting Jusuf Nurkic in the head during a December 12th game (as seen in a video). Ultimately, he served a 12-game suspension and sat out an additional four games to prepare for his return.
Green has publicly commented on his suspension, making significant remarks.
While his on-court conduct after the return remains uncertain, his team, currently holding a 18-21 record, could greatly benefit from his skills. Despite managing an 8-8 record in his absence, the Warriors are evidently eager for his return.
