[Saba Sports News] Spanish media reports that the Spanish Football Federation is considering punishment for Joan Laporta, the president of Barcelona, who may be dismissed due to inappropriate conduct. Before the Super Cup semifinal between Barcelona and Athletic Bilbao, the Spanish High Council of Sports granted amnesty, allowing Barcelona to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor. Upon hearing this news while entering the stadium’s box, Laporta was overjoyed, waving his arms and insulting the Spanish Football Federation. He also called the regional football federation’s president and some officials from the Spanish Football Federation “shameless.” This incident was captured on camera. The Spanish Football Federation is studying punishment for Laporta’s inappropriate behavior and will appeal to a sports judge. In this case, Laporta could be removed from his position as president of Barcelona. A similar situation occurred with former president Luis Rubiales, who was dismissed after being accused of kissing a female player following the Women’s World Cup final.
