[Saba Sports News] In the Super Cup semifinal, Real Madrid defeated Mallorca 3-0. Notably, Mallorca defender Pablo Maffeo clashed with Vinícius Junior and Raul Asensio during the match. At the end of the game, Maffeo yelled at Asensio, “Send the video, you idiot.” Maffeo was referring to Asensio’s previous involvement in a scandal regarding the distribution of a sexual video involving a minor. In September 2023, four Real Madrid youth players were arrested by police for recording and distributing a video of a sexual encounter with a minor without consent. Although the encounter was consensual, filming it was not. One of those players was Raul Asensio, but his situation differs from the other three accused players, as he was not present during the recording. His investigation concerns his possession and forwarding of the video. Whether he is guilty will be determined by time and the court. Police found that the involved players sent the video to five other players and 32 others, and it was also shared in five group chats. Distributing this video constitutes a child pornography crime, and offenders could face up to five years in prison.
