[Saba Sports News] In the 2024 season, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen started strong, but McLaren driver Lando Norris gradually caught up and began to apply immense pressure on Verstappen. During the F1 Austrian Grand Prix, Norris attempted multiple overtakes on Verstappen. On lap 64, the two cars collided during their battle, resulting in both suffering tire failures. The incident forced Norris to retire, while Verstappen received a 10-second penalty from the stewards, finishing in fifth place. After the race, Norris criticized Verstappen’s “reckless” driving, accusing him of being a bit careless in his pursuit of victory. However, a few days later, Norris seemed to forgive Verstappen, stating that he didn’t need to apologize and that he didn’t expect an apology. He pointed out that it was a good race, and everyone was pushing to their limits. In response, Anthony Davidson, an F1 commentator for Sky Sports, expressed disappointment, criticizing Norris’s weak character and stating that after being bullied by Verstappen, he should stand up and oppose those who bully him.
