[Saba Sports News] On January 13, the theme launch and kickoff ceremony for the 2025 Asian Badminton Mixed Team Championships was held in Qingdao, China. During the ceremony, the event organizers unveiled the logo, VI visuals, slogan, and mascot for this year’s competition. Chen Yufei, the Tokyo Olympic women’s singles badminton champion, was invited to serve as the image ambassador for the event and sent blessings to the kickoff ceremony via video. The logo design is inspired by the shape of a badminton, with the core being the “Wind of May” sculpture, which embodies the cultural spirit of Qingdao. The design blends both elements through simple and atmospheric gradient lines, while also cleverly integrating the Chinese characters for “Qing” and “Dao.” The event’s slogan is “Meet at the Mountains and Sea, Beautiful Badminton Together,” where “Mountains and Sea” refers to Qingdao, and “Badminton” symbolizes the vitality of the sport and the event, signifying the gathering of badminton players from around the world in Qingdao for a spectacular badminton gala. The mascot’s design is inspired by the unique coastal characteristics of Qingdao, presented in an elegant upward swinging badminton pose. At the top of the championship trophy are two badminton players, symbolizing the unity and cooperation of male and female players in the fierce competition of the mixed team championships, collectively pursuing honor in the field of badminton. The 2025 Asian Badminton Mixed Team Championships will be held from February 11-16 at the Qingdao Guoxin Gymnasium.
