[Saba Sports News] Jimmy Butler is eligible to return to the Miami Heat on Thursday following his suspension, but reports suggest he has no intention of staying with the team for the rest of the season.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Butler reiterated his desire to be traded during a recent meeting with Heat president Pat Riley. The 35-year-old reportedly emphasized that he has no plans to sign an extension with Miami, making his stance on leaving the team unmistakably clear.
Butler holds a $52 million player option for the 2025-26 season, which he reportedly plans to use solely as leverage to facilitate a trade out of Miami.
