[Saba Sports News] The Phoenix Suns might have found a new path to move Bradley Beal before the trade deadline.
On ESPN’s “The Hoop Collective” podcast, Brian Windhorst shared that the Chicago Bulls have recently engaged in trade talks with the Suns about acquiring Beal.
“The Bulls and Suns have talked about the concept of Bradley Beal ending up in Chicago,” said Windhorst, “[It] has been discussed.”
The Suns are eyeing a deal for disgruntled Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler ahead of the Feb. 6 deadline but need to move Beal to make it work due to salary cap concerns.
Since the Heat reportedly aren’t interested in adding Beal, Chicago could step in as part of a three-team trade. The Bulls have a large contract in Zach LaVine, which could help facilitate the deal.
However, there are significant hurdles to clear. Beal has a full no-trade clause and might not approve a move to a struggling 19-27 Bulls team.
Additionally, LaVine might not be a perfect fit in Miami alongside Tyler Herro, which could require a fourth team to get involved.
Still, the Bulls’ interest provides a glimmer of hope for the Suns, especially after another potential trade partner for Beal seemingly dropped out just days ago.
