[Saba Sports News] Recently, at an auction held in Stuttgart, Germany, a classic F1 car, the Mercedes W196R, was sold for a staggering price of 46.5 million euros, making it the most expensive F1 car in history. Including various taxes and fees, the final amount paid by the buyer will reach 51.55 million euros. The W196RF1 car has a remarkable history; it was the world’s first F1 car to use fuel injection technology, introduced in 1954. It features a streamlined structure, an 8-cylinder engine, and can easily reach speeds of 300 kilometers per hour. The car’s body, made of alloy materials, enhances its aerodynamic performance, significantly improving speed and stability. F1 legend Juan Manuel Fangio was a former driver of this car, and he achieved countless successes in F1 history. For instance, he won the 1955 Buenos Aires Grand Prix while driving this car.
