[Saba Sports News] Recently, Red Bull driver Max Verstappen revealed in an interview with the Mirror that he plans to team up with Fernando Alonso to participate in the Le Mans 24-hour endurance race in the near future. Verstappen originally thought he could team up with his father, but after Jos Verstappen clearly stated he no longer wanted to participate in Le Mans, Verstappen is now looking for alternatives. Verstappen mentioned that he had been to Le Mans when his father was racing there, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Moreover, the endurance race lasts from night until sunrise, which he finds very cool. He has recently been discussing this with Alonso, who has also shown interest in racing together at Le Mans. The only issue currently is that there is no actual minimum weight limit for drivers in Le Mans. Since he is a heavier driver, he needs to find a lighter teammate to compensate. Alonso, being light, is a suitable candidate, but they still need to find another physically lighter driver.
