[Saba Sports News] Red Bull Racing’s junior driver Arvid Lindblad has taken a significant step in his F1 career. The 17-year-old British driver performed exceptionally well in the Oceania regional Formula Championship in New Zealand, earning points towards an FIA Super License. This means that regardless of his results in the 2025 F2 Championship, he can obtain an F1 Super License. If he continues to develop as expected by Red Bull’s motorsport advisor Dr. Helmut Marko, he could be on track to join the Red Bull F1 team at any time. The Super License is a special license issued by the FIA, granted only to drivers who have performed outstandingly in F3000, GP2, F3, or CART series events. Obtaining this license is quite challenging; drivers often take eight years to progress from lower-tier racing to F1 and must complete at least 300 kilometers of testing in an F1 car. In fact, only a few drivers have the capability and opportunity to acquire this F1 license, symbolizing the pinnacle of motorsport.
