Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester City football star
John Stones, Formula 1 driver Alexander Albon of the Williams team, and NBA
player Stephen Curry from the Golden State Warriors have invested in a golf
team. The team they have invested in will be participating in the TGL (The Golf
League), a high-tech golf tournament founded by golf legends Tiger Woods and
Rory McIlroy. The tournament features six teams in total. Both Stones and Albon
will take part in the professional and charity matches of the event. The TGL
event is scheduled to begin next year, as it had to be postponed by a year due
to damage to the event’s hosting dome two months ago. Notably, other notable
investors in TGL teams include the Williams sisters from tennis and the Fenway
Sports Group. It’s interesting to see these sports stars getting involved in
various ventures outside of their primary sports.
