Sports News] According to US media reports, only about 30% of the tickets for
the warm-up match between Inter Miami and El Salvador have been sold. The news
of Lionel Messi leading Inter Miami in a friendly match against the El Salvador
national team generated significant anticipation in El Salvador and other
Central American countries. However, ticket sales have been sluggish, and a
considerable number of tickets remain unsold. Approximately 50% of the most
expensive tickets, which are closest to the stadium, have been sold. However,
overall ticket sales have only reached around 30%. The ticket prices for this
match are high, ranging from $200 for the cheapest tickets to $475 for the most
expensive ones. It’s worth noting that the minimum wage in El Salvador is $365.
If all the tickets were sold, the estimated ticket revenue for the game would
be $7 million. The operational cost of the match is $3.5 million, and one of
the minimum requirements is that Lionel Messi participates in the game for at
least 20 minutes. It is unclear why ticket sales for the match have been lower
than expected.
