[Saba Sports News] Anthony Edwards just can’t seem to hold back when the cameras are rolling.
The outspoken Minnesota Timberwolves star was fired up after his team pulled off a stunning 131-128 overtime win against the top-seeded Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. Minnesota clawed back from a 22-point deficit entering the fourth quarter, silencing the packed Paycom Center crowd.
As Edwards stood alongside teammates Nickeil Alexander-Walker and Jaden McDaniels for a postgame interview, his excitement boiled over.
“Way to f—ing hoop, y’all!” Edwards shouted, leaving the courtside reporter stunned.
“Gentlemen, we’re on live, guys. We’re on air, Ant,” the reporter quickly reminded him.
Still buzzing from his clutch block on Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to seal the win, Edwards kept the energy going as he dapped up arena staff on his way to the locker room.
Despite struggling offensively—scoring just 17 points on 5-of-15 shooting—Edwards made his presence felt with 13 rebounds, 8 assists, and the game-saving defensive play.
With multiple fines already under his belt this season for in-game profanity, Edwards might be looking at yet another one soon.
