[Saba Sports News] On the afternoon of March 13, the draw ceremony and press conference for the 2025 Sudirman Cup were held, where the 16 qualifying teams were drawn into four groups. The Chinese team, as the host, was placed in Group A, alongside Thailand, Hong Kong, and Algeria. Group B consists of South Korea, Chinese Taipei, Canada, and the Czech Republic; Group C includes Japan, Malaysia, France, and Australia; Group D features Indonesia, Denmark, India, and England. Group D is considered the “group of death” due to the presence of strong teams like Indonesia, Denmark, and India. Some fans jokingly suggested that the England team, caught in this group, might be thinking: “Is it too late to withdraw now?” Regarding the advancement situation in Group D, some media believe that Indonesia’s chances of advancing are relatively stable; Denmark, however, might face challenges due to the weakness of their women’s team and recent struggles in men’s doubles. Against the challenge posed by India, Denmark could potentially lose points in women’s singles, men’s doubles, and women’s doubles.
