[Saba Sports News] Kevin Durant and Draymond Green’s tumultuous relationship has added a new chapter. Durant, now with the Phoenix Suns, previously criticized Green, his former Golden State Warriors teammate, for an incident involving Jusuf Nurkic, Durant’s current teammate. This followed Green’s suspension by the NBA for 12 games after hitting Nurkic.
Durant had expressed hope for Green to receive necessary help and noted a change in Green’s behavior since their time together. Green, recently reinstated from suspension, admitted his initial anger towards Durant’s comments but later gained a different perspective.
In response to Green’s reaction, Durant, as reported by Melissa Rohlin of FOX Sports, clarified his intentions, emphasizing his lack of malice or disrespect towards Green or his family. He expressed relief that Green was back playing.
Despite their complex history, including four years as Warriors teammates with two championships and a public feud leading to Durant’s departure in 2019, their relationship shows signs of evolving. They reunited as part of the gold-winning USA team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, yet occasional public spats persist. Green’s recent reflection on Durant’s comments might indicate a diminishing resentment between them.
