[Saba Sports News] As the only Thai national in the F1 paddock and a driver for the Williams F1 team, Alexander Albon recently returned to Thailand during a rest day to participate in promotional activities. During this time, he had the honor of meeting with Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra, to whom he presented the helmet he drives with Williams, and in return, the Prime Minister gifted a pair of exquisite vases. Paetongtarn expressed that this was to commend Albon for “bringing glory to Thailand” and revealed that the Thai government is fully promoting the plan to host an F1 Grand Prix in Bangkok. Albon stated that having an F1 event in Thailand is one of his most important goals this year.
