[Saba Sports News] Recently, Manchester United fans unveiled a banner at Old Trafford stadium to protest against the club’s forced renovation of several regular seats on the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand. Last week, the club announced that some regular fans’ sections on the Sir Bobby Charlton Stand would be reclassified as VIP areas, which triggered unrest among fans. It is understood that many of the dozens of affected fans have been watching games from their original seats for decades, and they have now been informed that they need to move. What angers the fans most is the club’s sudden and uncommunicative approach. This decision has sparked anger among fans, particularly among the loyal supporters of this stand, who feel betrayed by the club. These seats not only offer an excellent view of the game but also provide convenience for disabled fans. For many older Manchester United fans, this location is ideal, irreplaceable. Even worse, the club has adjusted its pricing structure. Starting from the 2025-26 season, the price of regular season tickets will increase by 5%, but the price of season tickets for children under 16 will remain unchanged.
