[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Manchester United will change their ticketing method for their home match against Athletic Club in the Europa League semi-finals. United will modify how tickets are obtained for the Europa League semi-final at home against Bilbao on May 9, which could inconvenience fans attending at Old Trafford. Unlike the app-based ticketing introduced earlier this season, this match will use NFC technology for distribution. This method is similar to contactless payment at stores using a phone. The club stated that this change is due to unauthorized sharing of tickets in cup competitions prior to the 2024-25 season. It is understood that some NFC ticket holders experienced scanning issues when entering games earlier this season, during a match against Lyon. Meanwhile, Athletic Club fans are preparing for the second leg of the Europa League semi-final at Old Trafford on May 8. A group of fans has decided to take a sleeper bus for the over 1,700-kilometer journey.
