[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Mykhailo Mudryk has passed a lie detector test in an effort to exonerate himself from allegations of doping-related suspension. Reports indicate that Mudryk was temporarily suspended after testing positive for substances during a November 2022 international match representing Ukraine. Currently, he is under investigation by the FA, with an A-sample test revealing Mayteninol components. Mudryk denies intentional ingestion of banned substances but is responsible for all substances consumed unless able to prove entrapment or procedural error. If found guilty, Mudryk faces a potential four-year ban. During his tenure at Shakhtar Donetsk from 2018 to 2023, Mudryk made 44 appearances and scored 12 goals before transferring to Chelsea for €70 million with an additional €30 million in add-ons. Should Mudryk fail to continue playing for Chelsea, Shakhtar Donetsk risks losing those additional payments. The rest of Mudryk’s transfer fees are critical to Shakhtar Donetsk’s financial future, especially amid war-related economic difficulties. They must repay approximately €40 million in debt to comply with Financial Fair Play rules and avoid being barred from European competitions.
