[Saba Sports News] Draymond Green appeared to dodge serious consequences after kicking Tari Eason in the head during a heated Game 4 of the Western Conference playoff series between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets at Chase Center on Monday night.
Late in the second quarter, Green lost control of the ball near the top of the arc after a deflection by Eason.
As both players dove for the loose ball, Green tumbled over Eason and, in the process, delivered a kick to his head. The incident was captured on video and quickly made the rounds online.
Green had already been assessed a technical foul earlier in the game, meaning a second would have led to an automatic ejection. However, officials opted to issue a flagrant foul instead, allowing him to remain in the game.
Known for walking the fine line between aggressive and reckless, Green once again received the benefit of the doubt—something that ended up working in the Warriors’ favor.
