[Saba Sports News] South Korean badminton star An Se-young is currently preparing for the Sudirman Cup event. In a recent media interview, she spoke about the new South Korean national badminton coach Park Joo Bong. An Se-young expressed great satisfaction with Coach Park, stating candidly, “I have always regarded coaches as adversaries in the past, but he is a trustworthy coach whom I believe in and can compete with full confidence.” Park Joo Bong, aged 60, won an Olympic gold medal in men’s doubles at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics and a silver medal in mixed doubles at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. After retiring in 1996, he became a coach, serving teams from the UK and Malaysia before joining Japan’s team after the 2004 Athens Olympics. Throughout his coaching career, Park has never led the South Korean national team. As a leader of South Korea’s badminton, An Se-young’s positive attitude towards the coach will have a positive impact on the entire team. This positive atmosphere can inspire other players to trust the coaching staff, enhancing the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the team, which benefits South Korea’s performance in various competitions.
