[Saba Sports News] Liverpool’s victory in their 20th top-flight title set a record for the most social media engagements related to an English Premier League championship. That Sunday also marked Liverpool’s highest day of social media interactions in club history. Following Liverpool’s triumph over Tottenham Hotspur to claim the Premier League title, there were more than 71 million social media engagements over the weekend. The day of the match against Tottenham saw the highest number of interactions on social media, totaling 58 million, with overall club exposure on social media exceeding 1.1 billion. Video views across Liverpool’s social media channels (excluding X platform) surpassed 429 million, and the club also gained nearly 500,000 new social media followers during this period. These statistics come from major social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Threads, X, TikTok, and YouTube. Liverpool has already been the most engaging Premier League club on social media this season, reaching 1 billion interactions in March. Earlier this year, the Reds reached 11 million subscribers on YouTube and received a diamond play button in May for reaching 10 million subscribers — a first among Premier League clubs.
