[Saba Sports News] F1 commentator Martin Brundle issued a stern warning to Lewis Hamilton: those harsh words over the radio will be “irreparable damage.” During the Miami Grand Prix, Ferrari’s chaotic strategy left the seven-time champion enraged, shouting at his engineers to “go have a cup of tea” and sarcastically suggesting the team should let Williams pass them too. After the race, despite Hamilton’s attempts at crisis management by downplaying it as just a “tactical discussion,” Brundle pointed out that these words had been broadcast worldwide and couldn’t simply be erased with a few soothing remarks after the fact. The internal conflict arose from Ferrari’s disastrous dual-car strategy—first refusing Hamilton’s request to overtake Charles Leclerc, then changing their stance three laps later, only to fall short by not catching up to Mercedes rookie Andrea Kim Antonelli. Hamilton’s rage over the radio triggered a chain reaction, leading team principal Fred Vasseur to personally visit the pits to “put out the fire,” but the seven-time champion remained adamant about not apologizing, arguing there was nothing wrong with wanting to win. Currently, Ferrari is 152 points behind McLaren, putting the once-dominant team in crisis due to both strategic chaos and technological lag.
