[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Chelsea’s third goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli has had a disagreement with neighbors over the felling of trees. It is reported that 32-year-old Chelsea goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli cut down a towering 40-foot tree near his luxury home, triggering a dispute with neighbors. Bettinelli received approval to expand his luxurious residence, which is located near the club’s Cobham training ground, and plans to add a cinema and games room. The local planning department allowed him to cut down two trees for development, but neighbors said he cut down more trees without permission. These trees, which have been standing for decades, although not protected by a preservation order, help prevent prying eyes in the leafy estate. It is understood that Bettinelli originally received approval for front and back expansions including a family room on the ground floor, kitchen, breakfast room, and cinema. He also hopes to demolish a porch and chimney and add skylights on the second floor to increase a bedroom and games room. According to documents submitted to the Elmbridge District Council, construction began last year but has yet to be completed. Bettinelli has now submitted revised planting and landscaping plans to allow the removal of trees.
