[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, before the upcoming UEFA Europa Conference League final against Chelsea, Real Betis has been granted permission by La Liga to play earlier than its opponent, giving them nearly 48 extra hours of rest time. Currently, Real Betis has lost any chance to compete for fifth place in the league and has also secured direct qualification for next season’s Champions League without any doubt. Meanwhile, Real Betis’ opponent in the last round, Valencia, is out of contention for eighth place and an entry ticket to the UEFA Europa Conference League. In this situation, neither team has anything significant to fight for in the last round of the league, allowing La Liga to agree to Real Betis’ request to move the match time forward to get more rest time before the final. Recently, La Liga announced the schedule for the 38th round of matches. Real Betis will face Valencia on May 24, five days earlier than the UEFA Europa Conference League final. For Chelsea, their opponent, things don’t look so optimistic. Chelsea still needs to fight for a Champions League spot in the Premier League and must face other teams in the last round on May 25. This means there are only more than 70 hours between the end of the Premier League and the UEFA Europa Conference League final, including travel time.
