[Saba Sports News] Malaysian men’s singles player Kidambi Srikanth Nammalwar, aged 32, has been out of action for six months due to ankle injuries, almost missing the second half of last season. Recently, he has returned to action and revealed in an interview the reason for coming back after injury: because of love for this sport, he will continue to persist. Srikand said that he will do his best to earn points in the upcoming competitions and hopes to return to the top 30 in the world rankings so that he can avoid starting from the qualifying rounds. Currently, several top male singles players have applied for world ranking protection due to injuries, one of whom is Malaysian player Ng Tze Yong. After a long period of recuperation, Ng has returned to the competition, but he got injured again during the matches. Srikand frankly admitted that sports competition is difficult, and it is hard to predict what happens next, but he will fully prepare himself before competing. He mentioned that he has not set any goals for himself, the most important thing is to keep his body healthy and avoid further injuries. He will only return to competition when he feels strong enough to handle the intensity of the games and hopes to be in perfect health each time he competes, unwilling to participate while injured.
