[Saba Sports News] Kevin Durant’s list of preferred destinations has reportedly narrowed to just three teams.
The former MVP has become the hottest name on the trade market this offseason, with the Phoenix Suns reportedly ramping up efforts to find a suitable deal for the 15-time All-Star.
With Durant entering the final year of his contract—worth $54.7 million—his willingness to sign a long-term extension is a key factor in trade talks.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Durant is currently only open to signing an extension with three teams: the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets.
Despite that, Phoenix is reportedly not limiting trade discussions to just those teams. The Suns have informed six to eight serious suitors that they’ll prioritize the best return package, even if it means sending Durant somewhere outside his preferred destinations.
Earlier this week, Charania also reported a different third team alongside Miami and Houston, but San Antonio has now emerged as a strong candidate.
The Spurs have been consistently linked to Durant in recent weeks, with speculation swirling about pairing him with rising star Victor Wembanyama. However, reports indicate that San Antonio may have reservations about making a move for the veteran star.
