[Saba Sports News] Recently, the Football Association (FA) officially released its investigation results regarding former referee David Coote, substantiating allegations that he insulted Jurgen Klopp. However, gambling-related accusations against him were dismissed. In an announcement, the FA stated: David Coote has been charged under FA Rule E3 for violating conduct standards due to derogatory comments made about Jurgen Klopp in a video recorded around July 2020, which surfaced on social media in November 2024. Allegedly, his behavior was inappropriate and/or involved the use of abusive or insulting language contrary to FA Rule E3.1. Further charges claim this constitutes an “aggravated breach,” defined by FA Rule E3.2, due to references to nationality, whether explicit or implied. Regarding allegations of gambling misconduct involving David Coote, after comprehensive investigations, no charges were filed. In December 2024, a video emerged online showing current Premier League referee David Coote insulting Liverpool and its manager Klopp, calling Liverpool “garbage” and Klopp a “whore.”
