[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Liverpool’s summer spending is about to break the £200 million mark after reaching an agreement worth £40 million for Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth. The club continues to push forward with its ambitious recruitment plan. Florian Wirtz is set to undergo a medical examination, with the transfer from Bayer Leverkusen costing a staggering £116 million. The Reds had earlier signed full-back Jeremie Frimpong from Leverkusen for £29.5 million, and goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili joined from Valencia for the same amount of £29.5 million, having been loaned back to the Spanish club last season. Furthermore, as part of the club’s rebuilding plan, they are targeting central defenders including Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi. Jarell Quansah is set to join Bayer Leverkusen for £35 million, a deal unrelated to Wirtz’s transfer. Whether Guéhi’s move will materialize this summer depends on Crystal Palace’s asking price for this England international whose contract expires next year. Milos Kerkez, a long-term target for Liverpool, is set to undergo a medical examination next week. Bournemouth originally valued the 21-year-old at £45 million, but sports director Richard Hughes successfully persuaded his former club to lower the price.
