[Saba Sports News] Recently, Manchester City officially announced that Etihad Stadium will be expanded and current floor levels, zones, and row numbers will be updated. Season ticket holders will still enter the stadium through the same entrance, go to the same level, and find the same seat. The only difference is that the external numbering for floors, zones, and rows will be different. Manchester City said on its website: “This change is due to the expansion of Etihad Stadium, including the introduction of a new upper stand, a new hotel, and commercial spaces, as well as ensuring consistency across all levels of the stadium.” Therefore, starting from next season, the stadium’s levels will be adjusted as follows: Level 1 will become Level 0, Level 2 will become Level 1, the hospitality suite level will become Level 2, and Level 3 will remain unchanged. Additionally, in order to comply with health and safety guidelines, consistent floor numbering is recommended in the stadium layout. The club has also received a lot of feedback from disabled supporters, who pointed out that the current floor numbering could be confusing, especially when using elevators, as the floor indicators are not clear enough. Therefore, the existing block numbering system will also need to be adjusted, as the first digit represents the floor. For example, Block 130 will become 030, and Block 230 will become 130. Blocks on Level 3 are unaffected.
