Thomas Partey is accused of committing five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault between 2021 and 2022. On July 5, 2022, British media reported that an Premier League player was arrested in Barnet, North London, for allegedly committing a rape. Police stated: “On July 4, the police received a report of a 20-year-old woman being raped. The incident was reported to have occurred in June this year. On July 4, a 29-year-old man was arrested at a residence in Barnet on suspicion of rape. During detention, it was discovered that he was also suspected of committing a rape in April and June 2021 against another woman in her 20s.” This Premier League player, in his late 20s, is one of the top stars in his team. The player was on vacation in the Mediterranean region last month, where he allegedly raped a woman in her 20s. The woman escaped from the hotel and returned to her home in the UK. The case has been under lengthy investigation until today, when the Crown Prosecution Service officially announced that Arsenal player Thomas Partey has been charged with five counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.
