[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, the Paris prosecutor’s office has launched an investigation into Kylian Mbappe‘s donation to five riot police officers. Mbappe’s lawyer stated that the donations were “legal.” The prosecutors have initiated a preliminary investigation into Mbappe‘s donation of 180,300 euros to five riot police officers, once again placing the Real Madrid forward in the spotlight. On Friday morning, Mbappe’s lawyer said the player had no reason to feel guilty, as the donations were “legitimate.” The French Football Federation’s lawyer also released a statement, saying that the head of the police force received 60,300 euros, and four police generals each received 30,000 euros. “These activities were not compensated and were part of the routine work within his security responsibilities, especially since he had previously provided similar services to other players over the past 21 years.” Mbappe’s team issued a statement confirming that all actions were in compliance with regulations and that no compensation was received. Additionally, they mentioned that Mbappe has donated all his bonuses since his national team debut. The Paris prosecutor’s office and the National Inspection of the Police (IGPN) are investigating whether these payments may have concealed an unreported employment relationship between Mbappe and the police who protected him during private trips.
