[Saba Sports News] Recently, the 2025 Ballon d’Or 30-player shortlist was officially announced, with Ousmane Dembele seen as the favorite to win the award. L’Equipe pointed out that Paris Saint-Germain has changed its strategy and publicly supports Dembele for the Ballon d’Or since their Champions League victory. It is said that PSG has been preparing for this Ballon d’Or campaign over the past few weeks. However, for a long time, to avoid violating its “no star” collective principle, PSG originally refused to promote any of its players for the award. Sometimes, it even gave the impression that they were falling behind in the race… But since May 31st, after the Champions League final, their attitude changed. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi and manager Luis Enrique have publicly supported Dembele. Enrique made a clear statement just minutes after the final: “I have no doubt I would give the Ballon d’Or to Dembele, not only because of the championship and goals, but also because of his exemplary performance throughout the season and in this final.”
