[Saba Sports News] Recently, Charles Leclerc admitted that, considering the remaining F1 tracks this year, Ferrari is unlikely to beat McLaren in straight-line speed. McLaren has performed exceptionally well in the first 14 races of the season, winning 11 grand prix events. Meanwhile, Ferrari is the only team among the top four that has yet to win a race this season. Given the high benchmark set by McLaren, Leclerc believes Ferrari cannot surpass them in the remaining races. Leclerc said: “At the moment, I don’t think there is any track where we believe we can be faster than McLaren. This year, McLaren’s car is always the strongest.” Although Ferrari hasn’t won a race yet this year, they currently rank second in the team standings, ahead of Mercedes and Red Bull. Because these three teams are closely competing for second place, Leclerc believes McLaren will remain the favorite in every remaining race. Red Bull’s performance has been a bit unstable, similar to Ferrari and Mercedes, but one team remains consistent – that is McLaren. At the moment, I don’t think there is any track where I feel that my team or I would be the favorites. But I hope I’m proven wrong.
