[Saba Sports News] The Polish national team has announced its latest squad, with 37-year-old Robert Lewandowski returning as captain after being stripped of the armband last month and briefly retiring from international duty. New Poland coach Jan Urban stated: “We want to start fresh. Lewandowski will be the captain, and he will join me at the press conference on Monday. The vice-captains will be Piotr Zielinski and Jan Bednarek. The players have been informed, and this decision is final.” In June, former coach Michal Probierz removed Lewandowski as captain, prompting the striker to announce his retirement from the national team. Probierz resigned just three days later, citing the need to prioritize the team’s interests.
