[Saba Sports News] At last weekend’s Italian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen and Lando Norris engaged in a fierce battle right from the start, with the latter describing the duel as “a nerve-wracking close-quarters fight.” Norris explained, “When I say ‘nerve-wracking close-quarters fight,’ I’m mainly referring to when he overtook me from the outside into Turn 1 on the second or third lap. It was like a ‘who can brake later’ contest. But I knew that even if I was on the inside, Verstappen was in a much more advantageous position. He could push the limits far more aggressively than I could, and I couldn’t afford to take any risks – whether it was damaging the front wing or even the slightest bodywork issue, it could cost me. I think I took the necessary risks and gave it my all, but I was just a bit lacking in pace. I wish the battle could have lasted longer. For us, it was a tough race, and our pace was completely below expectations. We had hoped to at least have a chance to fight for the win.”
