[Saba Sports News] According to Spanish media reports, residents on the higher floors of an apartment building opposite the Johan Cruyff Stadium have a clear view of the entire pitch, and some fans were even willing to pay 500 euros to enter the building to watch the La Liga match. During Barcelona’s La Liga match against Valencia at the Johan Cruyff Stadium, although there were fewer than 6,000 spectators inside the ground, large crowds gathered around the stadium. This stadium, usually used for Barcelona B and Barcelona Women’s matches, proved too small for a La Liga game between two Spanish football giants, leading to far greater frenzy outside than anticipated. Hosting a La Liga match at a venue with limited space like the Johan Cruyff Stadium complicated the situation, requiring Catalan police and Sant Joan Despi police to significantly increase their presence to handle the larger-than-usual crowds. Interestingly, residents on the higher floors of an apartment building opposite the Johan Cruyff Stadium have a clear view of the entire pitch. This meant that while some fans paid 800 euros for scalped tickets or 1000 euros for VIP box seats, these residents could watch the match for free from their balconies, enjoying a beer and the players’ performances. The panoramic view of the pitch is available from the fourth and fifth floors of this apartment building. One resident shared a video of the match shot from his balcony. He also mentioned: “Many people tried to get in, someone even offered 500 euros to access our balcony. We’ve never seen anything so crazy.”
