[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, if Manchester United dismisses Ruben Amorim within the first year of his contract, the club will need to pay £12 million in compensation. The report states that despite the team’s worst league start in 33 years, the club remains calm, and Manchester United’s leadership continues to support Amorim. On November 1 last year, Manchester United signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Amorim, valued at £6.5 million per season, with an option to extend for an additional 12 months. It is understood that if Amorim is dismissed before his one-year anniversary, he will receive £12 million. With less than seven weeks until that date, Manchester United faces a challenging schedule: their next match is at home against Chelsea, followed by games against Brentford and Sunderland, an away match against Liverpool on the 19th, and then a fixture against Brighton. Although the Portuguese manager stated in May that he would leave without compensation if Manchester United deemed him no longer suitable, this scenario is unlikely. Since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement in 2013, Manchester United has struggled to afford the compensation for its sixth managerial change. The club’s ongoing financial difficulties will be exposed in the annual accounts set to be released at noon on Wednesday.
