[Saba Sports News] According to UK media reports, the rental market around Liverpool’s Anfield stadium is booming, especially on match days. The report states that the short-term rental market, driven by football tourism, is reshaping this traditional working-class community with unprecedented depth and breadth. Even during an ordinary non-match day period in Liverpool, a small area northwest of Anfield stadium alone had 31 rental listings available. On another street opposite the stadium, the situation is even more extreme: out of 32 houses, as many as 8 were listed online for short-term rentals, meaning 25% of the street’s housing has been converted for short-term lets. Significant commercial gain is the primary driver behind this trend. Rentals near Anfield command surprisingly high prices. For example, a 10-bedroom terraced house on Anfield Road costs £938 per night, even on an ordinary Monday night with no match scheduled. So, what do Liverpool fans think about this booming rental market?
