[Saba Sports News] According to Thai media, Kunlavut Vitidsarn has been promoted to the rank of Police Reserve Captain in Thailand following his silver medal win in the men’s singles badminton event at the Paris Olympics. The report states that the Royal Thai Police held a grand ceremony, where the Commissioner and Deputy Commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau introduced national badminton athlete Kunlavut to the National Police Chief, Kittirat Phanphet. In a warm and proud atmosphere, the official promotion ceremony was held for Kunlavut. This ceremony aimed to honor him for bringing prestige to the nation and the police force, as well as for demonstrating dedication, exceptional talent, and steadfast pursuit in his professional sports career. Previously, Kunlavut had expressed his strong desire to become a commissioned police officer, stating it was a dream come true. Now balancing dual careers as an athlete and a police officer, Kunlavut stated he would give his all as an athlete for the time being. However, whenever he has time, he will also return to participate in police duties.
