[Saba Sports News] In the F1 United States Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton finished fourth, just one step away from the podium, extending his record streak of failing to reach a Grand Prix podium in his first 19 races with Ferrari – the worst such record in the team’s history. The previous record was held by French driver Didier Pironi, who went 18 consecutive races without a podium for Ferrari between 1981-1982 until winning the 1982 San Marino Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton’s record of zero Grand Prix podiums in the 2025 season is also a first in his career. Hamilton, who moved from Mercedes to Ferrari for this season, originally hoped to revive past glories with the Scuderia. However, judging by the performances of both the Ferrari team and Hamilton so far this season, the seven-time champion’s gamble has, at least for now, certainly not been successful. For this F1 seven-time champion, challenging for a race win now seems distant, and even securing a single race podium has become a luxury. Since switching to Ferrari this season, Hamilton’s most impressive performance was arguably at the early-season Chinese Grand Prix. The seven-time champion won the Sprint Qualifying race at the Chinese GP, which remains Hamilton’s highlight moment with Ferrari so far.
