[Saba Sports News] According to British media reports, Nottingham Forest’s new manager, Sean Dyche, has officially started his work and introduced some of his signature team rules on his first day, while also showing an unexpectedly “softer” side. Reports indicate that Dyche maintained his ban on players wearing scarves and hats on the training ground. Surprisingly, however, he abandoned the “white socks ban” that he strictly enforced during his time at Burnley and Everton. Dyche explained, “For heaven’s sake, I let them wear white socks… My former players will surely slam me on social media… But it’s fair, isn’t it? I have to give in somewhere.” He reiterated that while white socks are allowed, scarves and hats remain prohibited. Reflecting on his time at Everton, Dyche insisted that banning these items was simply “common sense” to ensure “training matches the game.” Dyche revealed that owner Evangelos Marinakis is aware of the challenges and has been “very candid” in discussions with him. Dyche stated that the current priority is to stabilize the situation rather than winning the Europa League. However, he emphasized that this is only the first step, and neither he nor the players can settle for mediocrity–they must strive for more. Dyche believes the team has somewhat neglected the fundamentals and needs to reinject them.
