[Saba Sports News] In the men’s singles semifinals of the 2025 French Open, Li Shifeng, after winning the first game, was reversed by Danish star Anders Antonsen and missed the final. In the first game, Li Shifeng led throughout, starting 5-0 and once holding a 14-5 lead. In the second game, Antonsen, trailing 2-4, scored three consecutive points to take the lead and maintained the advantage until the end; Li Shifeng saved two game points but failed. In the deciding game, the start was tight with five ties reaching 6-6. Antonsen, trailing 5-6, unleashed a 7-0 run to overtake and maintained the advantage until the end, sealing the victory with three consecutive points at the match’s conclusion. After the match, Li Shifeng pointed out the main reason for his defeat. Regarding this, Li Shifeng said: “My opponent is a very strong player who actively made changes after losing one game. I didn’t adapt to my opponent’s changes in the last two games, so I was always trailing.” Additionally, Li Shifeng stated that although the previous two rounds were narrow three-game victories, fatigue was not an excuse for losing, as Antonsen also played a full 3 games against Viktor Axelsen, making it the same for both sides.
