[Saba Sports News] A frightening incident occurred during the recently held Mexican Grand Prix when Visa Cash App RB driver Liam Lawson nearly collided with two track personnel on the circuit. Reportedly, on the second lap of the race, Lawson was slowing down for Turn 1 when he suddenly spotted two marshals running across the track; they appeared to be clearing debris from the racing line. Notably, the FIA had not deployed any safety measures, such as yellow flags, to warn teams and drivers about the presence of personnel on track. Speaking to media after the race, Lawson said, “I nearly killed them, mate.” The editor believes that for Lawson, nearly hitting track personnel would undoubtedly cause significant psychological distress. Encountering such a sudden situation during the race could also affect his subsequent performance. For the entire F1 event, such a safety hazard raises questions about the event’s safety protocols among the public, potentially damaging the reputation and image of the sport.
