[Saba Sports News] After the F1 Mexican Grand Prix, Haas driver Esteban Ocon seemed to have criticism for Red Bull driver Yuki Tsunoda’s driving style. In a post-race interview with media, Esteban Ocon said: “I got hit at the start. I got stuck behind Yuki Tsunoda, and the way he defended was something I’ve never seen before.” Ocon accused the Japanese driver of changing lines under braking, ruining his race, although he also admitted it wasn’t entirely Tsunoda’s fault: “He moved under braking, that was the problem. Unfortunately, he also ruined my qualifying performance – but… to be honest, that wasn’t really his fault.” He added finally: “I always seem to meet him at the wrong time, in the wrong place, and that basically ruined our race because in the first stint, we were stuck behind him, probably losing eight or nine seconds, and I just couldn’t get past. Once we passed him, we could show our pace, and it was much better, but it was too late.” Although Esteban Ocon lost time being stuck behind Tsunoda’s RB21 car, he still finished the race in ninth place with the Haas car, helping the American team secure valuable points.
